We are a state-of-the-art clinical research institute/site at Kolkata. Established in 2021 as the newest initiative of Liver Foundation, West Bengal, the Centre for Clinical Research (CCR) functions as a division of John C Martin Centre for Liver & Digestive Sciences (JCMLRI).

The scope of functioning of CCR-JCMLRI goes beyond gastrointestinal and liver diseases. With a host of expert clinical researchers of diverse clinical disciplines empanelled with CCR-JCMLRI, it strives to cater to the cause and need of research in ALL therapeutic areas.

Besides conducting regulatory clinical trials, the Centre also promotes and guides conduct of academic research.

The affiliated hospital - Indian Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences (IILDS) is a not-for-profit healthcare institution that upholds the cause of healthcare, health education and health research, with equal emphasis to each. IILDS is a NABH accredited 100-bed hospital with critical care facility. IILDS is registered with DSIR, Government of India.

The site ethics committee - Human Research Ethics Committee, IILDS (HREC-IILDS) is duly registered with both CDSCO and DHR of Govt of India.

CCR-JCMLRI enjoys moderate autonomy in day to day functioning and is well poised to promptly respond to any call for implementing a clinical trial project - be it a regulatory or an academic one, in strict compliance with all statutory provisions and applicable guideline norms including good clinical practice (GCP).

CCR-JCMLRI and IILDS are located in the south-eastern outskirts of Kolkata at Centre for Clinical Research, JCMLRI, Indian Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences, Sitala East, Jagadishpur, Sonarpur, Kolkata 700150.
